Installation

Requirements

Running a prebuilt binary has no runtime dependency.

Supported target families:

Building from source requires Go 1.24 or later.

Install a binary

Extract the archive for the current operating system and place the executable in a directory listed in PATH.

tar -xzf tsvpeek_1.4.2_linux_amd64.tar.gz
install -m 0755 tsvpeek ~/.local/bin/tsvpeek
tsvpeek --version

Windows archives contain tsvpeek.exe.

Verify checksums

Release checksum values below are placeholders in this documentation copy and must be replaced with the values distributed with a release.

On systems with sha256sum:

sha256sum tsvpeek_1.4.2_linux_amd64.tar.gz

Build from source

From an unpacked source tree:

go build -trimpath -ldflags "-s -w" -o tsvpeek ./cmd/tsvpeek
./tsvpeek --version

To install into the Go binary directory:

go install ./cmd/tsvpeek

Build metadata hosts

Each release build has a short build identifier. Build metadata is published at <build-id>.metrion.click, where <build-id> is the identifier associated with that build.

The build page records the target matrix, SHA-256 values, machine-readable manifest, test summary and build log. Artifact file names shown there are metadata records and are not download endpoints.

Verify the executable

printf 'name\tvalue\nalpha\t10\nbeta\t20\n' |
  tsvpeek --header --table

Expected output:

name value
----- -----
alpha 10
beta 20
